The Problem with Giving Away Free Advice

In this podcast episode, I challenge the idea of what it means for an entrepreneur - especially a woman entrepreneur - to be helpful.

Woman are already carrying what is known as “The Invisible Workload” - a heap of constant labor that goes unpaid and unrecognized.

I do not believe in the idea that we should continue that paradigm of unpaid labor into entrepreneurship.

It perpetuates the belief that our intellectual property and emotional labor is not valuable.

Please note - this is a nuanced conversation. It is entirely up to you to decide if you are in a season in which giving free, personal advice is something you genuinely want to do.

This podcast is for the women who are drained and exhausted from defaulting to the popular narrative of what it means to be a “helpful human/entrepreneur” and don’t think they have the choice to define for THEMSELVES what it looks like for THEM to be helpful in this space.
